This summer the gallery is hosting a mixed media group exhibition featuring both painting and photography. Well-known painters were invited to participate, Manfred Zylla, Diana Hyslop, David Hlongwane, Clare Menck, Karlien de Villiers, Mark Hipper, Jan Neethling and Lara Feldman. We are also proud to introduce new paintings by Mozambique artist Bernardo Carrula Tomo.

The artworks of Wayne Barker, Angus Taylor and Maria van Rooyen on Dimension reflect the simultaneous coexistence of different "regimes" or dimensions, maybe of an aesthetic, historical or social kind. It could mean the impact of a personal experience; a conceptual turn in the development of the artist's thinking or use of materials; or the archaeology of levels of meaning 'hidden' in the artwork, waiting to be revealed.

The application of paint on a two dimensional surface, in a manner that results in an image that comments intelligently on ourselves and our existence, is a profoundly difficult task. That is why there are so few really fine painters. With this collection Kerri Evans moves to the front rank of her genre. These paintings are simple images of our fellow South Africans most often seated, sometimes nude, sometimes clothed.
