Born in Gauteng, living around the world and now staying quietly to paint on a Bushveld farm in the Limpopo Province, I think I had the best of all worlds. As an artist I enjoy living in this kaleidoscope of colour and light the we call our world. I have been fascinated with light and the effect sunlight has on all living things. (Just stay for a few months in England with only 3 days of sunshine!). I love the stories that paintings can tell and only now understand that the world needs artists to look and tell what the see. It is too often that we walk past a story and we do not even notice the humour, the gentleness, the great crescendos that happen every day around us. I love being an artist. After painting for more than 20 years there are still places in ART I need to discover - I hope to discover it, through the fun, exploration and hard work of creating.
