When I was in kindergarden, my friends complained to our teacher that I did not want to play with them, but rather play with clay. Not mutch has changed, only the medium I work in. I am a naive artist with a unique style and technique. I use mixed media to create texture and relief onto canvas. It is painted with acrylic`s, and I sometimes add sand, tea leaves and eggshells to my paint. some of my frames are made of papermache and collaged.I am inspired by my childhood. The farm school I went to. My grandfathers farm. Spaza and cash stores in the township and small town where my parents owned a small general dealer. The time the circus came to our small Freestate town Vanstadensrus. Classical music, opera, chiors dancing.Anything that is beatifull to me and makes me happy! I have sold paintings all over South Africa and abroad: England, Belgium,Holland, Switzerland and Ireland.
